Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Stayzeef Industries LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use FPV OTG — our Android app and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

FPV OTG is a video viewer and recorder for FPV pilots. It shows the picture from a USB (UVC) receiver plugged into your phone, records it, and lets you cut it into a Short. All of that happens on your device. We never receive your video, your audio, your snapshots or your edits.

1. Who we are

Stayzeef Industries LLC
7901 4th St N, STE 300
St. Petersburg, FL 33702
United States

For anything in this policy, contact us at fpvotg-support@stayzeef.com.

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Stayzeef Industries LLC is the data controller for the limited information described below.

2. No account, no sign-up

FPV OTG has no accounts. You do not create a profile, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth. You can install the app, fly with it, record with it and edit with it without ever identifying yourself to us.

3. Information that stays on your device

The following never leaves your phone unless you choose to share it yourself:

  • Live video and audio from your USB receiver. The feed is decoded and drawn on screen. It is not streamed, buffered to a server, or transmitted anywhere.
  • Recordings and snapshots. DVR clips and stills are written to your device's public gallery at DCIM/FPVOTG/VIDEO and DCIM/FPVOTG/IMAGE, where your own gallery app, file manager and computer can see them.
  • Vlog-mode audio. If you select your phone microphone or a Bluetooth mic as the recording source, that audio is muxed into your recording file on the device and nowhere else.
  • Media you import. Footage, stills and music you pick from your device for the Shorts editor are copied into the app's private storage so an edit does not break when the original moves. The copies are yours, on your device.
  • Editor projects. Named Short projects, timelines, crops, filters, text and cover frames are stored in the app's private storage.
  • Settings. Aspect ratio, feed transforms, grid and crosshair toggles, audio source, volume-key mappings, DSP slider values, the storage guardrail limit and auto-launch preference are stored in your device's local app preferences.
  • On-device analysis. Smart Static Auto-Stop inspects frames as they arrive to decide whether the picture has gone static, and the editor reads frames to build the filmstrip, cover frames and waveforms. This analysis runs entirely on your phone and produces no data we can see.

We have no access to any of it. If you uninstall the app, your recordings and snapshots stay in DCIM/FPVOTG because they were written to your own gallery; imported copies and editor projects are removed with the app.

4. Information collected by our service providers

Three things in the app talk to the internet. Each is provided by a third party that handles the data under its own privacy policy.

Purchases (RevenueCat and Google Play)

The Pro "Lifetime Access" unlock is a one-time in-app purchase.

  • Google Play Billing processes the payment. We never see your payment method, card details or billing address. Google's handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat, Inc. records and validates the purchase so the unlock survives a reinstall or a new device. RevenueCat generates an anonymous app user ID on your device — a random identifier, not linked to your name or email — and associates it with your purchase receipt, along with technical details such as device model, operating system version, app version and country. We do not send RevenueCat any personal information about you. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat also renders the paywall and the Customer Center (restore, purchase history, refund requests) inside the app.

Advertising (Google AdMob) — free tier only

Free users see one full-screen interstitial ad immediately after stopping a DVR recording. There are no other ads in the app.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. To deliver, cap and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process device and usage information, including your advertising ID, IP address, device model, operating system version, coarse location derived from IP, and ad interaction events. This is Google's processing, under the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Advertising Policies.

If you purchase the Pro unlock, the ad component is switched off entirely and no ad requests are made.

Where required by law — including in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — Google's User Messaging Platform presents a consent form before any personalized ad is requested. If you decline, ads are limited to non-personalized ads, which still use minimal data for frequency capping, fraud prevention and reporting. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Website hosting

This website is served by Firebase Hosting (Google). Standard server logs, including IP address and user agent, are generated as part of delivering the pages.

Website analytics (Google Analytics)

With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and move through the pages. The same measurement feeds the Analytics tab of our Firebase console; it is one Google property, not two separate collections.

Analytics is off until you accept it. We use Google Consent Mode v2 with every storage category denied by default, so no analytics cookie is written and no measurement is sent unless you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you decline, no cookie is set at all — your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. You can change your mind at any time via Cookie settings in the footer.

When you do accept, Google Analytics collects a randomly generated identifier, the pages you view, referring URL, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and general device and browser information. We enable IP anonymization. We do not enable Google Signals, advertising features, remarketing or ad personalization on this property, and analytics data is never used to serve you ads. Google's processing is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal basis for analytics cookies is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.

5. Information we do not collect

To be explicit, the FPV OTG Android app does not include:

  • any analytics SDK — no Google Analytics, no Firebase Analytics and no third-party usage tracking is built into the app itself (this website is separate: see the consent-gated website analytics in Section 4);
  • any crash or error reporting service;
  • any account system, contact list access, or social login;
  • any location permission — the app never requests GPS or network location;
  • any upload of your video, audio, snapshots, imported media or editor projects.

6. Permissions the app requests, and why

PermissionWhy FPV OTG asks for it
CameraRequired by Android to open a USB video (UVC) device. Used only for your receiver's feed — the app does not use your phone's built-in cameras.
MicrophoneOnly if you select "Device Mic" as the vlog-mode audio source, so narration can be recorded into your clip. Declining leaves USB audio and Mute available.
Read media (video and images)So the in-app gallery can show recordings and snapshots that already exist in DCIM/FPVOTG, including after a reinstall. Requested the first time you open the gallery, not at launch. On Android 14 and later you may grant access to selected items only.
InternetPurchase validation and, on the free tier, ad delivery. Nothing else.
USB hostTo detect and open your receiver, and to auto-launch the app when one is plugged in.
Foreground service / wake lockTo keep the feed alive and the screen on while you are flying or recording.

Denying a permission limits the matching feature only; the rest of the app keeps working.

7. How the information is used

The limited information described in Section 4 is used to:

  • confirm and restore your Pro unlock;
  • serve, cap and measure ads on the free tier;
  • keep the Service secure and functioning, and diagnose faults reported to us.

We do not build profiles, we do not use your information for any automated decision-making with legal effects, and we do not sell your personal information.

8. Legal bases (EEA and UK)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — processing your purchase and maintaining your entitlement;
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — personalized advertising in the app, and analytics cookies on this website, which you may give or withhold and withdraw at any time;
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — non-personalized advertising, fraud prevention, security and keeping the Service working.

9. Sharing

We share information only with the processors named in Section 4 — RevenueCat, Google (Play Billing, AdMob, Firebase Hosting, Google Analytics) — acting under contract and only to provide those functions. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend legal claims.

Anything you share from the app — a clip to Instagram, a Short to the share sheet — goes directly from your device to the app you picked, under that app's own terms and privacy policy. We are not part of that transfer.

10. International transfers

Our providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, our providers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

11. Retention

We hold no personal data ourselves. Purchase records are retained by RevenueCat and Google for as long as needed to support your entitlement and to meet their tax and legal record-keeping obligations. Ad-related data is retained by Google under its own policies. Everything else lives on your device, for as long as you keep it there.

Website analytics data is retained by Google for the retention window configured on our Google Analytics property, and is deleted once that window elapses.

12. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

In practice:

  • Your footage is on your device — delete it in the app's gallery, your gallery app, or your file manager.
  • Advertising — reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings, and change your consent choice at any time where a consent form is shown.
  • Purchase records — email fpvotg-support@stayzeef.com and we will pass a deletion request to RevenueCat. Note that deleting the record may make your Pro unlock unrestorable on a future device.
  • Website analytics — accept or decline in the cookie banner, and change your mind at any time via Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing also deletes the analytics cookies already stored in your browser.
  • Everything else — uninstalling the app removes the app's own storage.

To exercise a right, email fpvotg-support@stayzeef.com. We respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable time and within any period the law requires.

13. Children's privacy

FPV OTG is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including those provided by our infrastructure partners, to protect information. Because your recordings stay on your device, their security is governed by your device's own protections — a screen lock and device encryption are the effective controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
